テ・アヴァ・ピチのヒメネ・タタラハパ

以前のエントリでRobi Kahakalauが歌う”Himene Tatarahapa”を日本語に和訳しましたが、そのコメント欄から、”Himene Tatarahapa”のオリジナルを教えて頂きました。

それが上の動画のTe Ava Pitiです。
ジャンルはタヒチアンという括りになるのでしょうか。

タヒチアンミュージックのコンピレーションアルバム「タヒチ・ヘイヴァ」に収録されています。
邦題になっているので分かりづらいですが、3曲目の”後悔の歌”がそうです。
う〜ん、まだ「懺悔の歌」の方がしっくりくる気がしますが……。
Amazonで視聴が可能。

そういえば以前にご紹介したHAPAの”Papa E”もTe Vakaというタヒチアンバンドが歌っていましたね。

言われてみると、なんとなく民族音楽っぽい雰囲気がしないでもありません。

以前、“Kaimana Hila”の歌詞を和訳をした際に、Hawaiian Style Bandの”カイマナ・ヒラ”をピックアップしていましたが、ボーカルはRobi Kahakalau(ロビ・カハカラウ)だったんですね、知らなかった……。

メンバーはWade Cambern, Robi Kahakalau, Bryan Kesslerということです。
